Rand McNally Road Atlas App Reviews

I have 3GB of space available, this requires less than 1 GB. Whats the problem?

This has no search feature, Im sorry I didnt read the reviews first, wish I had my money back.

Good to get an update. However, needs to have the link on neighboring maps that take you directly to that map, like on the previous version. If I could do 3 1/2 stars I would. Please add that link. Also, maps are incomplete. Cant find south Pennsylvania. Please fix these issues.

Apparently there is no quality control on releases. When I bought this a month ago it worked pretty well. The latest release broke the links between maps and some of the maps are not complete. I.e. British Columbia is missing Vancouver! Alberta doesnt exist and a part of Southern Pennsylvania is missing. Come on Rand McNally we expect much better from you than that!

The latest 1.3 version refuses to install on any device running the latest iOS. Had to delete.

Entire SE portion of Pennsylvania is missing. Apparently Harrisburg to Philadelphia corridor doesnt exist in this version. Gross oversight for a respected cartography company

As of May 6, 2015 the download of this app has been failing for several days.

The last update was a complete failure. Will not load. Renders app useless.

Cannot load the newest version onto my iPad. Links to adjoining states quit working in the previous update. Love this app -- doesnt matter that it works like paper copy. Hope this is fixed soonest as we are about to take a trip and I will be wanting to use it. In the meantime, I am forced to give it a low rating as it doesnt work at all right now.

The latest update, May 5, 2015, will not install. Pay attention Rand McNally. Fix this and it gets a 5-star.

A junk app that takes forever to open. A waste of money.

I have been using the RM Atlas Maps successfully for nearly 6 months on both my iPhone and iPad. The most recent update has been a nightmare to get loaded and in fact won’t load. Please fix, test and resubmit.

Loved this app, but after the last update my IPad is stuck trying to update. Cant open or delete the app....

Just like buying paper back at store in your hand and can zoom bad reviewers what is your problem!

What a huge disappointment. I thought at least, considering it is a digital version, there would be a capability to measure distances between places of my choosing, and perhaps a calculation of probable time based on miles per hour. What a waste of $10.

Dont waste your time on this. The last update has made the product worthless-you cant download the update and it just hangs up anyway. If they fix the update it might be worth it–I got it to replace paper maps while driving up and down the east coast. It was ok, but not nearly as detailed as paper maps. Its mostly a waste of money for anyone with a map app or a Garmin.

Please fix it.

When I first bought this app…it worked wonderfully. It is minimal in its functions, but I had the map on my iPad. Okay. Then they upgraded it…then it stopped working. Now I get the following message "The app "Atlas" was not installed on the iPad "Fr. Ignats iPad" because an unknown error occurred (0xE800000E). I have written numerous eMails to Rand McNally to get them to help me with this issue with NO success. I do not like resorting to this, but I want to be able to use this app again. Hopefully they will contact me and help fix this situation. When that occurs, I will update my rating.

This update is worthless...will not load, continues to hang-up my iPad...eliminated other apps to have sufficient room...still will not load...once its loading, cannot delete the App...really disappointing for an App we have had to pay for...

This app is simply scanned versions of their paper atlas, and is fine if thats what you want. Updates in May 2015 have tended to hang. I had to delete the app from my iPad and reinstall it from scratch. I still find the maps oddly comforting but dont travel the Interstates and still rely on individual state roadmaps.
